Abstract:
Here it is presented the start version of a new project, that unites researchers in an intellectual network around the Department of Personality Psychology of the Faculty of Psychology of Moscow State University - "Psychology of Modernity: Challenges of Uncertainty, Complexity and Diversity". This is the attempt to reflect many various dimensions of modernity. This project reflects the interest in the search for a methodology for understanding complexity, mind games aimed at reflecting the multidimensionality of the world in different coordinate systems. The meaning-forming motive of appearance – is the expansion of the boundaries of the cognitive field of psychological science. The goal is – to develop a transdisciplinary research program for the cognition of the psychology of modernity, which will allow to collect into a "trunk" the science of human development in nature and society and thereby take a step towards turning psychology into not only "a real, but also an effective science" [Leontiev A., 1975]. In other words, the purpose of the program being created is to offer a methodological framework for studying how mental pictures of the world are transformed in the conditions of "change of change", increasing uncertainty, complexity and diversity, and how people react to these manifestations of modernity.
