Abstract:
Anime culture is considered in context of personal tendency to escape reality. It is pointed that anime mostly attracts middle class young people displaying essayistic tendencies. Research didn’t show any other correlations between integration into anime subculture and components of socio psychological adaptation. Drawing an inference from this analysis, author concludes, that anime devotion doesn’t compound socialization. But the question whether this devotion aids escapism development still needs to be specified.
