Abstract:
[A life-threatening emergency is a common occurrence for a modern person of any age. Such situations are especially traumatic for children, because, due to their age characteristics, they are the most vulnerable group of any population. The problem at the center of this study can be formulated as the need to identify necessary and sufficient conditions, that determine child's readiness for adequate behavior in a dangerous situation and his/her individual characteristics of perceiving a dangerous situation as a whole. Based on practical experience, three blocks of “model” games and exercises have been identified that should be included in game sessions for children to develop their psychological readiness to overcome dangerous situations: these are overcoming games, games with rules and communication games. The mechanisms for developing psychological readiness to overcome a dangerous situation are determined by the prospect of further research in the field of ensuring the safety and sustainable development of preschool children.]
