Abstract:
[The features of motivation of children and adolescents to cooperate with a psychologist in the counseling process are considered. For preschoolers and junior schoolchildren, joint cognitive activity will motivate the child's further cooperation. In early adolescence, the emphasis in contact should be on building relationships on an equal footing. Self-disclosure of a psychologist will help build trusting relationships with a teenager and will cause a frank conversation. Building relationships with older teens is not enough. For the effectiveness of the process, an informal attitude towards the counseling process and towards the psychologist is important. It is important that the older teenager attend meetings, not to avoid incurring the anger of loved ones, but so that your meetings become valuable to the teenager himself. In the age period from 15 years, self-knowledge in a teenager comes to the fore in importance. In order for an older teenager to cooperate with a psychologist and be motivated for the counseling process, it is important to devote as much space and time as possible to his self-knowledge.]
