Chuprakova. [Possibilities of client-centered therapy in working with the crisis of late maturity]

Abstract:
[The author systematizes own results of the analysis of an interaction between a doctor and an patient in crisis period. The therapist assumes that the client himself acts as an expert in relation to his own life. The client, on the other hand, perceives the situation of therapy and the therapeutic process itself, as growth and movement towards personal maturity. The personal experience of living through a crisis gives the therapist a unique experience, that helps him empathize with any client in his most difficult and difficult experiences, and, — most importantly, — it gives confidence to any therapist in using and choosing strategies to work with any crisis client. The period when the client is in a state of crisis can be characterized as a pre-motivation for therapy, a consultative format, a very external attitude to the process. And only when client emerges from his/her crisis, we can observe his/her personality changes, which coincide with changes in motivation, understanding of therapy process. Then, there is the possibility of working at the level of relationships and processing, which entails a change in the quality of the psychotherapeutic process.]
