Abstract:
The influence of the need for communication on the selectivity of perception of visual effects in young children (1—3 years old) is investigated. Through three series of experiments with the presentation of social (adult, peer) and non-social (toy, animal) objects, a preference was established for a peer on slides, an adult in real situations with and without a barrier. The hierarchy of needs is revealed: communication with an adult dominates, a peer serves as a source of impressions.
