Abstract:
[This study was carried out on a sample of students of Moscow Training Center at Federal Fire Service, using the questionnaire method "Free choice of values". The most popular are the value categories of purposefulness, kindness, courage, love for children, and having a family. Quite often, from 15 to 18 choices and maximum scores, gain the values of faith in God, wisdom, decency and optimism. This observation testifies in favor of the fact that within the sample there is a subgroup of carriers of spiritual and moral values. Love for Motherland and faith in God are one factor and the compassion variable is included in it. The educational process, organized in such a way that these people can prove themselves as leaders, can contribute to psychological work with students and their professional development. Sacrifice turns out to be unpopular and low-value. The sample of subjects was designated as not paying attention to external beauty, having weakly expressed aesthetic interests in theater, painting, music, and not appreciating open-mindedness.
