Abstract:
The research is devoted to the study of the formation and development of communication between children at an early age. Hypothesis: children`s communication with their peers depends crucially on their experience of communicating with an adult and on the organization of the latter`s contacts with children. Particular versions of the hypothesis: 1) the role of an adult is to maintain positive interactions between children; 2) the main meaningful role of an adult is to reveal to the child the subjective qualities of a peer. To test this hypothesis, experiments were conducted with three groups of children aged 1 to 3 years who have different experiences with adults. Formative experiments have revealed an existing reserve in the mental development of young children, which allows an adult to raise the interaction of children with their peers to a higher level.
