Abstract:
The article describes an experimental study of the peculiarities of speech development in preschoolers. Hypotheses have been put forward about the importance of communication with peers for speech development, the role of communication with peers and adults, and the nature of communication tasks and needs. The experiments were conducted with children from 2 to 7 years old. The obtained materials showed that in interaction with an adult and with a peer, preschoolers discover a different need for a partner. At the same time, the peculiarities of interaction between preschoolers and adults affect similar contacts with peers. The difference between a preschooler's attitude towards peers and his attitude towards adults determines the nature of the communicative tasks that arise in his two spheres of communication.
