Abstract:
The article describes an experimental study of the peculiarities of communication between children with mental retardation and adults. Children aged 6—7 participated in the study. An analysis of the materials obtained shows that older preschoolers with mental retardation have a reduced need to communicate with both adults and peers. Communication with an adult is mostly of a business nature.
