Abstract:
The article analyzes the structure of professional consciousness, focusing on the mastering of professional language in the process of higher education. The author uses the activity approach and the concept of P. Y. Galperin. Language consciousness is presented at three levels: national-cultural, sociocultural and individual-psychological. The author emphasizes the importance of learning a foreign language to expand the possibilities of professional communication. He notes that memorizing phrases and terms is not enough, and for deep language acquisition it is necessary to build a systematic representation of the material. Mastering a professional language in the context of intercultural communication will increase the effectiveness of professional activity and successfully interact with representatives of other cultures.
