Abstract:
There is no greater mistake in understanding the current crisis in psychology, as limiting it to the limits and boundaries of Russian scientific thought. The struggle deepens and moves into a new phase. Such destructive critical work has been done in Western psychology, that the naive and prosperous, subcritical empiricism that is presented to us now, seems as somewhat antediluvian in European science. According to Vygotsky L. S., psychology is about to become materialistic. Psychology clearly splits into two directions: one clearly sharpens and straightens the line of spiritualism in psychology, the other clearly breaks through to the monistic and materialistic construction of biological psychology. An attempt to understand the scientific struggle in Western psychology was made from the most influential and interesting of all areas, the so-called Gestalt-psychologie, one of the most prominent representatives of which is Kurt Koffka.
