Text describes grief stages, one is getting through after loosing a loved one, it’s symptoms and significance. Author doubts Freud's theory that grief helps to take psychological energy of a subject, which is no longer presented. He suggests, that grief helps to create a representation of one who passed. The "Past in present" perceprional phenomena is described: people experience in a state of shock, until psychic removes departed from validity field. Book reviews specific logic and changes in thinking during coping process.
