Abstract:
Consideration of speech — thinking — language, as an inner side of speech activity, allow us to raise the question: the general basis of such activity is the highest mental integrative function, named verbal-communicative. This function, being correlated with the concept of linguistic ability, lies at basis of person’s socio-communicative activity and his interaction with environment. Its specificity is — an integrative character, its means of realization is — language as a system of symbolic units, by means of which person`s conceptual system is formed and more than this — is exists as a generalized and indirect reflection of the real world. It`s three levels — sensory-motor with the function of entry, the formation and thoughts formulation (or process of disclosing the subject of another's thoughts), and meaning-making, realizing understanding / misunderstanding as result of understanding the subject of the utterance and it`s communicative meaning. This is a complex mechanism for verbal information receiving, processing and issuing through language and speech in such types of speech activities as listening and speaking.
