Abstract:
[Here is an attempt to substantiate the legitimacy of posing a range of questions, arised from the historical-evolutionary approach in psychology of personality, and to reveal the evolutionary meaning of personality psychology, traditionally understood as the study of history of a changing personality in changing world. From the point of view of a psychopedagogue, the rationale for the role of practical psychology, as factor in the design of a variant developmental education, as well as the change in the social status of psychology in the field of education in Russia, is given here. The psychopedagogue believes that, through developing education, there is a road from totalitarian culture of utility, which suppresses the manifestation of a person`s individuality, to culture of dignity, which supports person′s individuality and thus has a wide reserve of non-standard social actions during periods of various historical turns and dramas. The psychohistorian himself gets involved in the whirlpools of social politics, and tries to show, what consequences and scenarios certain decisions entail, especially when they are built without taking into account the psyche, which largely determines the performances played out in history.]
