The socio-psychological features of professional self-assessment dynamic was analyzed among students in pedagogical university at different stages of training. The character of the relationship of features of professional self-assessment with the educational content was identified. Tools was developed for investigation of social and psychological features of professional student′s self-determination in pedagogical universities. The basic stages of professional self-determination formation among students were: 1st, 3rd and 5th courses, with peculiar relationship to the chosen profession at each of them. Students with high academic status had in basis of their decision to get a degree in teaching values and motivations associated with its content and their desire to engage in teaching activities. Self-determination of students with low academic status in the teaching profession was more connected with the importance of material and social achievements.
