Here the differences in tolerance of 12—14 and 15—16- teenagers in different socio-cultural contexts — urban and rural areas — were investigated. Differences in ethnic tolerance level of urban and rural adolescents should be explained by the frequency and tightness of ethnic contacts. For urban teenagers, their environment is multiethnic with a low degree of frequency and closeness of contacts, and as for rural ones — multiethnic too, but with a high degree of these indicators.
