Abstract:
The dissertation examines the specifics of psychological readiness for motherhood of orphaned girls from residential institutions, taking into account regional specifics and structural components: value and conceptual, emotional and operational blocks. The main objectives of the work include theoretical analysis of the concept of “psychological readiness for motherhood”, study of existing methods and practices, as well as a comparative analysis of readiness components in orphan girls and girls from families. The results show that for orphan girls the value of motherhood is less significant, there is an idealised idea of motherhood, which does not contribute to real readiness for it. As a result of the study, psychological and pedagogical recommendations for the formation of maternal sphere in the conditions of residential institutions were developed. The obtained data can be useful for practical work with this category of women.
