Morozova. [Socio-psychological study of artistic provocativeness (on example of modern avant-garde art): Abstract of thesis of dissertation]

Abstract:
[It is shown that provocativeness is an integral part of socio-cultural life, and it manifests itself in various forms throughout cultural and historical development - from early syncretic forms of social life to the modern, highly differentiated system of post-industrial society. In general, high dependence of the perception of a provocative artistic event on the role position within the socio-psychological space of this event was confirmed: artist, curator, critic, spectator. The hypothesis regarding the peculiarities of the role of the curator as an organizer of an artistic event and an intermediary between the artist's ideas and the requirements of society was confirmed with high reliability. Some of the subjects (regardless of their role positions) when perceiving provocative performances associate a provocative stimulus to the sphere of art with play, fantasy, development, and empowerment. This testifies of a positive personality-developing potential that can carry a provocative artistic impact.]
