Abstract:
The dissertation is dedicated to the problem of career guidance for high school students in rural areas. The author explores the specific features of this process and develops a model of socio-pedagogical support aimed at increasing the effectiveness of rural adolescents` choice of future profession. This model includes: stages of career guidance formation for high school students; forms, methods, and means of socio-pedagogical support for high school students in their career guidance in rural society; forms and methods of realizing the potential of rural society; socio-pedagogical conditions for the effectiveness of career guidance for high school students in the interests of rural society. Empirical methods were used: observation, questionnaires, pedagogical experiment, processing of expert evaluation results, etc. The study presents the results of an experiment conducted in Russian rural schools. The experimental base of the study consisted of educational institutions in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The total number of research participants was 900 parents and significant relatives, 120 pedagogical workers and specialists of social institutions in rural society. The results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed model. The study has significant practical value for teachers, psychologists, and other specialists working with rural youth.
