Abstract:
Differences in behavior style (deviant and relatively typical) of two student groups aged 11—16 from special and standard schools were studied here. It was shown that adolescent with deviant behavior — during all adolescence — are characterized by a predominance of the set of intrapersonal conflicts. Their failure to resolve them is associated with the underdevelopment of teenager self-identity, a low level of reflection and an external locus of control. Gender differences are shown here too. In general, at 11—14 years old, deviant adolescents almost have the most pronounced intrapersonal conflict of trust in adults, the conflict of needs for independence and guardianship, the conflict of dual feelings and dysmorphophobia. By age of 16, adolescents with deviant behavior show some decrease in the severity of conflicts of "dual feelings" and "dysmorphophobia". Intrapersonal conflicts of adolescents are of an unconscious nature. At the same time, adolescents with deviant behavior are characterized by the predominance of "repression", which is a psychological defense mechanism of the personality and complicates the awareness of their own experiences.
