Abstract:
The violations of self-regulation and the possibilities of its correction in children aged 7-12 years with normal and delayed mental development were investigated here. In children with mental retardation, first level - violations of self-regulation which are controlled by the first functional brain′s block (namely, regulation of brain activity), adversely affect the operational and technical level of self-regulation and inhibit the formation of a personal-motivational level. Some compensation is possible at maturation stage of personal-motivational level of self-regulation, controlled by the third functional brain block (namely, programming, regulation and control of mental activity). The style of family training is important: optimal one is the harmonious, while extremely negative are pandering hyperprotection and educational insecurity. Sensory motor correction is effective in disorders of self-regulation in children of primary school age with a delay in mental development of cerebral-organic genesis. Parental participation in correctional process really increases its effectiveness.
