Tretyak. [Prevention of chemical dependence in adolescents with episodic alcohol use: abstract of the dissertation for degree of psychological sciences candidate]

Abstract:
An evidence-based scientific basis for building adequate psychological assistance to adolescents with episodic alcohol use is presented here. It has been shown that a program aimed at the prevention of chemical dependence in adolescents with episodic alcohol use reduces the severity of personality deficits. It has been established that this decrease is accompanied by the actualization of a personal resource that was previously unclaimed. Specifically, there was a decrease in the level of maladjustment, the indicator of "General family anxiety", the severity of the alexithymic radical, a change in the hierarchy of life values, and an increase in constructive ways out of difficult life situations. The effectiveness of the proposed program is confirmed by the fact that adolescents with episodes of alcoholism before the program were dominated by the following characteristics: maladjustment, self-rejection, emotional discomfort and escapism. After completing the program, an increase in integral indicators on the scales "Adaptation" and "Emotional comfort" was recorded. Thus, the factors for reducing the risk of alcohol relapses in adolescents with episodic alcohol use have been identified.
