Abstract:
A package of methods was tested for diagnosing the characteristics of the components of the socio-economic status (SES) of the family and the image of the family in a child of senior preschool age. The author`s modification of the questionnaire of subjective economic well-being (V. A. Khashchenko), taking into account the age characteristics of children of senior preschool age, and a questionnaire was developed to determine the socio-economic status of the family. The results obtained confirm the working hypothesis that the image of a family in a child of senior preschool age is associated with the nature of the child`s experience of the economic well-being of his family. Empirically isolated five types of family image in a child of senior preschool age: "prosperous", "unstable", "distant", "conflict" and "unfavorable". A working definition of the socio-economic status of the family (SES) as a combination of objective and subjective components is given. Objective component — sources and level of family income, structure expenses. Subjective — subjective economic well-being.
