Abstract:
The foundations are analyzed of the traditional areas of pre-school pedagogy, focused on the development of morality and spirituality. The peculiarity of Waldorf approach defines its principles: a ban on early intellectualization and training; limitation on intervention in free development for all assessment activities; adult`s benevolence and love; balanced use of word "no"; education through imitation; motivation for self-education; freedom of evaluation and self-assessment. Comparing the nature of communications and interpersonal relations among children in traditional and Waldorf kindergartens has been made. It was noting the absence of children demonstrative behavior, the general atmosphere of goodwill, orientation towards peers, equal the younger position in games. Author postulates that moral child development is determined not only by public attitudes, family influence, innate instincts, but above all the living conditions and education.
