Abstract:
An approach is presented here, to improve the concepts interpretation of termins «competence», «competence», «single socio-professional competence», in their relationship. The author`s position can streamline understanding of these concepts, being of interest in theoretical and educational-methodical terms. Three main interpretations of the very concept of «competence» are identified here, which, partially overlapping, are relatively independent. Instrumental, interpersonal and systemic competencies are considered. The etiology of the linguo-psychological interpretation of competence is analyzed. A comparative analysis of the three identified areas of competence interpretation (pedagogical, psychological-practical, linguo-psychological) is given. The analysis made it possible to propose an interpretation of competence, as an actualized, integrative, knowledge-based, intellectually and socio-culturally conditioned personal quality, manifested in the activity, behavior of a person in his interaction with other people in the process of solving various problems.
