Abstract:
The article presents the theoretical review and analysis of cross-cultural investigations carried out in the sphere of preschool education in foreign countries in recent decades. The article introduces the results of the studies aimed at estimation ofpreschool children's understanding of racial cues, disclosure of ethno-cultural and socio-cultural conditions affecting children's school readiness; criteria which parents from different ethno-cultures use to estimate the efficiency of preschool education; specificity of child – educator and mother – child relationships; problems and resources of children-migrants adaptation in terms of multi-cultural settlements. Stated problems, their analysis and solutions make it possibleto increase the efficiency of educational process in modern socio-cultural environment.
