Abstract:
The article is devoted to a segment of L. S. Vygotsky`s family archive which has not been researched yet: his notebooks, notes, diaries, letters from the years 1912—1934, and gives a general description of personal notes (the main categories of documents, classification criteria, contents, appearance, condition), focusing on the most important archival finds. The author argues that studying the archives helps to open up new, unknown pages of L. S. Vygotsky`s scientific biography and correct generally accepted ideas on periods of his creative career. The review consists of two parts. The first part focuses on notes written between 1912 and 1930. The second part, to be published in the next issue of the journal, describes the archives of 1931—1934.
