Abstract:
An attempt to reconstruct L. S. Vygotsky’s understanding of “the zone of proximal development” in educational context is presented. Seven fundamental theses, which accounts for educative communication between child and adult are represented. Basing on the analysis of Vygotsky’s works, he completed during 1931 1933, author verifies Vygotsky’s authorship of “the zone of proximal development” concept, which if often ascribed to American researchers. The zone of proximal development in Vygotsky’s interpretation is a space of possible developmental lines, dependant on problem situation and help from adult.
