Abstract:
The features were studied of attention spatial orientation to target and of arbitrary changes of attention targets in two children groups (by 29 children from 7 to 15 ages), developed as typically, as well with autistic spectrum disorders. Children were imposed a modified technique of proof-samples with target changing of attention. Each child performed a series of proof-8 samples, and that from sample to sample was varied criteria of targeted figures: so, it was created an additional burden on the executive control. Presumably, the function of orientation of spatial attention in school-aged children with autism spectrum disorders, was intact, or the method as such was a little sensitive to deficit of named mental function. It was shown, that, in normal, operation of arbitrarily target attention switching has an advantage in the left half-field space. The absence of this effect in children with autism may be an indication that they have, beside to overall deficit of this operation, its functional lateralization being violated.
