Abstract:
The potential possibilities for consciousness development among teenagers-orphans 14—17 aged living in boarding institute, through the special psychological group work with using fairytale metaphor as a tool, were investigated here. The contents, concepts and resources of fairytale metaphor and consciousness were analysed and disclosed. Also, here was isolated the principle of fairytale metaphor: diving into semantic fabulous space with current study of mental substructures, including self-identification with the fairy-tale personaqe/situation. A new way to influence the development of consciousness substructures (cognitive, behavioral) for adolescent in boarding schools was proposed — a special training program of group psychological work, named "Travel in Far-Far Away- Kingdom of Self-Consciousness". As we see, fairytale metaphor gives a unique opportunity to develop self-awareness and self-esteem through the disclosure and explanation of events and phenomena of the inner world for adolescents, for their new look at external events and internal transformation, bringing themselves to the world and contacts with it.
