Abstract:
Empirically it was shown, that in senior preschool age the competition, as a strategy for exit from conflict situation, more often is seen in children with intellectual development above or below the average, adaptational strategy is usial at middle level, and cooperation or compromise — at high level of children′s intellectual development. A higher level of intellectual development corresponds to a greater incidence of active strategies for engaging in conflict, — competitive and cooperative ones. Such children are ready to defend their own rights actively. Preschoolers, exhibiting neutral verbal response reactions in interactions, use more constructive ways for exiting from conflict; children with more aggressive reactions retire into competition. Children with higher sociometric status use more active and more constructive strategies in interactions. High scale rates of intropunitive verbal response on conflict are less inherent for children with high status among peers.
