Abstract:
The article discusses A. N. Leontiev`s contribution to the development of Soviet and world child psychology, his theoretical and experimental studies of children`s sensory-objective activity, patterns of assimilation in the process of this activity by a growing individual of the methods of material and spiritual production created by society, the study of the role of such an active, active mastery of social experience in the formation of a child`s properties and abilities. His works marked a new stage in the development of problems of child psychology.
