Abstract:
The works of A. N. Leontiev had a significant impact not only on general psychology, but also on its applied branches, including the psychological sciences of labor activity. The emergence and formation of engineering psychology and ergonomics in our country is associated with his name. The problems of these disciplines attracted the close attention of the scientist in all his guises — an outstanding theoretical thinker, a talented experimental researcher, and an outstanding organizer of scientific research. This was due not only to A. N.`s sensitive sensibility. Leontiev`s approach to new problems was primarily due to the fact that the issues of engineering psychology and ergonomics were directly related to the psychological theory of activity being developed by him and his scientific school.
