Abstract:
According to A. N. Leontiev, it is the activities of the subject (and not actions, not operations, not psychophysiological functions or blocks of these functions) that are the initial units of personality analysis. The article provides arguments for and against this statement. It is concluded that the psychological analysis of the semantic sphere is a necessary and first step in building a holistic and adequate understanding of a person not just as a subject of labor and productive activity, but as a moral person who is constantly seeking and gaining meaning for his life on earth.
