Abstract:
A lot of research papers are devoted to the topic of academic procrastination, however, there are still more questions than answers and the available scientific data on many aspects are contradictory. The researches state quite notable growth of academic procrastination recent years and as a reason consider the increase of information flow and the transition of education to the digital environment. The influence of digital transformation in higher education on the socio-psychological components is promising for further research. The study involved 89 students from 18 to 23 years old, who were divided into two groups according to their responses to the questionnaire of the impact of the transition to the digital environment on academic procrastination. The questions are taken from the research paper "Academic procrastination in the digital educational environment of the University" by Kukhtina Y. V. et al., 2022. The research methods included a set of test methods: PASS Academic Procrastination Scales (adapted by M. V. Zvereva, 2018); Chen`s CIAS Internet Addiction Scale (adapted by M. V. Zvereva, 2018); Wallerand's Scales of Academic Motivation (adaptation by Gordeeva T. O. et al., 2014), full 7-factor version.
