Abstract:
[In semantic perception, the problem of correlating the verbal stimulus acting on the auditory analyzer - at given moment - with the linguistic experience of the individual is important. Researchers of speech perception have questions about how the acoustic signal is compared with the “standard” in memory, in what form the “standard is recorded”, what are the decision units in the process of semantic perception. The decision affects the mnemonic activity of a person, since, regardless of the form in which the "trace" of the past excitement is recorded and in what form the comparison process was carried out, it refers to the memory of a person. And if memory does not store linguistic information, then semantic perception, as the highest symbolic function, will not be able to be realized. In this case, a person will only hear an undivided sound stream, remaining at the level of elementary sensory action. Semantic perception, including comprehension and assuming the work of memory, is a complex perceptual-mental-mnemonic activity, which corresponds to the general direction of development of higher mental functions.]
