Abstract:
Students of Moscow school 8—11 grades had to master four ways of goals setting by the example of solving some actual socio-cultural problems, i. e. correlating: 1) the society as a whole — with one`s business, 2) the ideal — with forecast of natural change, 3) the values — with activities, 4) norms — with real situations. This approach makes it possible to assess student's ability to set goals and to reveal one of three levels of autonomy: 1) perform the task mechanically, 2) determine the goal, 3) determine the goal inside problem situation, when possible options for action, and the skill is necessary of self-determination while solution choice. The task of the project team was to organize several educational and diagnostic games in this school, so to understanding some texts by schoolchildren of some younger grades. Based on the results of final game, their parents were given conclusions about levels of development of their children in direction of ability to understanding and communicative skills, and about of their inclination to collective intellectual work. The sometime task of high school students was — to create conditions for diagnosing five — six these younger students. During the year, high school students learned to organize a discussion of the text and set goals. The authors proceeded from the assumption, that for a person, it is necessary to objectify one's goal in the situation of inevitable cooperation and of need to act consistently in team. The author concluded, that the main difficulty faced by high school students, is the lack of awareness of their own goals and their inability to subordinate all their actions to the stated goal. To overcome that, after every attempt to organize a discussion, attempts were made to restore the participant`s way of acting, the norms that he had implemented, and the discrepancy between the stated goal and what was implemented. It was turned out that the main difficulty was represented by the ways of setting goals 1 and 2, and method 4 was the easiest one.
