Abstract:
The methodological manual presents a brief history of deaf-blind study and of social support organization for them; it also provides information on causes and prevalence of deaf-blindness, as a special type of disability, gives detailed characteristics of communication tools, as well as recommendations for their development and use in communicating with the deaf-blind in various life situations. The experience of deaf-blind residents of capital and people helping them in everyday solving, educational and professional problems is considered. In solving the problems that arise when moving deaf-blind at urban environment, in organizing their work, leisure, in relations with other persons. The guide is intended for employees of social sphere inside city. It can also be useful for deaf-blind family members and all those, who want to help people with sensory impairments.
