Abstract:
Article provides analysis of basic statements from Godelier's "The enigma of the gift". His approach is compared to data and hypothesis about gifts and gifting in different cultures, provided by another authors. Sociological and anthropological contexts have been reviewed, emotion-psychological aspect of giving had been highlighted. Belik emphases emportance of the issue to modern anthropology.
