Abstract:
A scientific concept of psychological educational toys expert examination is presented. The toy is discussed as a mean of promoting children activity and acquiring cultural experience. On the basis of the cultural-historical and activity approaches authors define principal requirements to toys as developmental instruments and describe the main stages of the development of play — from infant to 7 years of age. Requirements to play material for every stage although presented.
