Abstract:
This research studies value foundations of students in the process of project-based learning in comparison with the value foundations of those who are involved in the process of solving complex engineering challenges. The research hypotesis is the following: the process of project-based learning is itself valuable. There is also the process of values acquisition by teenagers 14-17 years old after making sense and shedding new light on these values and thanks to different psychological and pedagogical processes and operations. Students of 8-11 grades aged 14-17 took part in the research. The methods of the research are quantitative survey, in-depth interviews, group interviews. The data received show that there are values that can influence and form self-determination to the process of solving complex engineering challenges; these values can also form self-determination towards the process of project-based learning and methods with which they influence their actualization.
