Abstract:
The study is devoted to the formation of emotional readiness of children aged 6-7 for school using art therapy methods. The paper examines the features of the formation of emotional readiness for school in children aged 6-7, identifies factors influencing the formation of emotional readiness for school in children aged 6-7, defines psychological and pedagogical approaches to the formation of emotional readiness for school in children aged 6-7 using art therapy methods. Art therapy allows children to transform negative emotions into creativity, it is an innovative method in education. The study involved 40 children aged 6-7 years. There were 20 people in the control group and 20 people in the experimental group. At the ascertaining and control stages, diagnostics was carried out using 3 methods:  the M. Lusher color test adapted by L. A. Yasyukova;  the method of M. A. Panfilova. «Cactus»;  questionnaire for parents on anxiety detection (Lavrentieva G. P., Titarenko T. M.). At the formative stage, the program was tested, which includes 8 classes. The results of the control stage showed that there were significant changes in the parameters of the emotional background, energy balance, and motivational readiness.
