Karpova, Danina. [Cognition and self-knowledge in psychotherapy of speech communication disorders]

Abstract:
[The content of the stages of treatment of logoneuroses in the course of bibliotherapy is considered here. The first stage is diagnostic-propaedeutic, the second is emotional-stress psychotherapy, the third one is active family group speech therapy. The fourth stage, six months later, stands out for the transition to a new level of communication. The collective-group form of psychotherapy contributes to the generation of new figurative, semantic and emotional contexts and facilitates the task of self-regulation (volitional regulation of mental states), awareness of one's own mental states and develops the ability to express them in verbal form. This system can be considered as a phenomenon of multidimensional, multilevel verbal communication, which takes place not only in the case of socio-rehabilitation of stuttering, but also represents a model of universal forms of joint existence of people.]
