The study examines the cognitive features of children and adolescents with myopathies and suggests ways to correct the identified features. The research is conducted in the context of cultural and historical theory, theory of activity, theory of functional systems, system dynamic localization of higher mental functions, and also takes into account a number of modern psychological and pedagogical approaches. The results of the study have been implemented in the practice of working with children and adolescents in the medical center.

The paper defines the specifics of the phenomenon of deprivation of boarding school pupils and the possibility of optimizing some negative behavioral and personal manifestations of pupils by means of training activities. The hypothesis is proved that a specially organized procedure of socio-psychological training contributes to the improvement of individual components of deprivation, in particular, the level of social frustration, situational anxiety, intolerance to uncertainty, conformity, and frustration intolerance.
